Gareth Owen (MOst) is the Principal Osteopath at Oakham Osteopaths. Gareth holds a Masters degree from the London School of Osteopathy and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council of the United Kingdom. He is also a fully qualified ITEC Sports Massage Therapist and in Medical Acupuncture/Dry Needling.
Born and raised in Oakham, Gareth previously lived in London and has worked within the music publishing industry for the past 16 years, managing one of the oldest and largest Production Music companies in the UK, as well as being a member of a PRS (Performing Rights Society of the UK) advisory group.
Having received successful and positive Osteopathic treatment over the years for sporting injuries, pain and discomfort as a result of playing a musical instrument and postural accommodation due to daily life (working in an office etc), Gareth’s interest lead him to retrain and eventually relocate with his family back to Oakham to set up Oakham Osteopaths. He also runs a mobile Osteopathic practice for touring musicians and bands where clinic attendance is not possible under ‘Owen Osteopathy’.
He is a musician, has a keen interest in cycling and trains Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Jude Samuel at ‘Inglorious Grapplers’, Kings Cross.
